Dipper Delight
A high pitched call and a flash of dark brown and white tells you a Dipper is around. This is a specialist river bird which feeds on aquatic invertebrates as it walks underwater on the river bed in all weathers. A beautiful Dales day, with sun dappled water, must be a Dipper’s delight.
